IT ISN'T JUST AN AQUINO-MARCOS FAMILY FEUD

President Benigno S. Aquino III was right in setting the record straight regarding the remorseless revisionist version of Bongbong Marcos' interpretation of the 1986 People Power revolution, and of his, again, remorseless bluster that the Philippines could have been another Singapore now if his dictator father wasn't thrown out of his decaying office. However, because of such exchanges, some quarters are now ERRONEOUSLY reducing the EVILS OF THE MARCOS REGIME to an AQUINO-MARCOS melodrama.

The People Power Revolution of 1986 was an explicit expression of rebellion BY THE FILIPINO PEOPLE against the MARCOS DICTATORSHIP  which robbed, raped, duped, violated, murdered, terrorized, silence them all throughout its illegitimate stay in power. PERIOD!

John Kavanaugh speaks of ego-syntonic orientation. Ego-syntonic orientation essays the life orientation of people who have already convinced themselves that they never did wrong, and that they even were the ones who were victimized, even in fact it was the contrary. Such ego-syntonic oriented people actually started will little misdemeanors. And they were able to effectively brush aside the stirrings of conscience for such misdemeanors. However, as time passes by, due to repetition, the misdemeanors become HABITUAL. As a good habit is a virtue, a bad habit is a vice. The said misdemeanors then became a vice. Then as the said vice is further buttressed by seemingly endless repetition, and now getting BIGGER and BIGGER IN MAGNITUDE, it simply isn't a minor vice anymore but already AN ORIENTATION, a LIFE ORIENTATION. As it has already become a life orientation, it now becomes one's LIFETIME PARADIGM, and thus anything according to such paradigm, eventually IS TRUTH. Ergo, even if one has OBJECTIVELY DONE EVIL, but because one's MORALS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TWISTED OR DISTORTED by one's own SUPPRESSION OF ONE'S CONSCIENCE, one has already lost the capability to accept the REAL TRUTH vis-a-vis ONE'S TWISTED TRUTH. Ego-syntonic oriented one has thus become. That's the reason why, Bongbong, Imelda and their likes don't show any remorse for any past misdeeds of theirs and of their deceased tyrant paterfamilia. And now, part of the twisted landscape these people want to portray is that the 1986 People Power revolt was just an AQUINO-MARCOS melodrama.
